If you read my last post, you will know that I bought these beautiful Disney block cards from Poundland the other day. I purchased them with loads of other Christopher Robin products that Poundland currently has on offer. So at first, I was thinking I love them, they are so cute! But what can I do with them? Then I had this idea that I could make my own cards with these block cards, which would be suitable for most occasions. I figured I could blog whatever I do make with them (which is what I am doing now) and also get my kids involved and turn it into some crafting fun!
Be aware though guys, this one is my first attempt, so it’s more like a practice run but still, I think they pretty good.
.) The first thing I did was cut the individual images out of the block card book.
.) Then I started to arrange the images in different places on a blank white card. I placed the main image on the front and then I started to pick the images that I wanted to use for the middle of the card.
.) I made a few different images, before I picked my favourite one. Once I had the images arranged exactly where I wanted them to be, I then started to secure them by gluing them on to the card.
.) I did the back of the card last, and I kept it quite simple as it is the back of the card.
.) Once I had finished arranging the pictures on the back of the card I glued them on.
.) This card took me approximately 5-10 minutes to make. It was really simple, and a practice run. This is how the front of the card looks. What do you think?
.) This is the inside of the card. If I was to make it again, I think I would change the middle image and go with the second one that I made as it is less busy. Either way, I think it looks pretty good for a homemade craft.
.) I made a little youtube video which you can watch below.
