I don’t always cook a roast dinner on Sundays, I like to mix it up and sometimes I cook Carribean chicken, lamb or turkey stew. When I do cook roast dinners on a Sunday I try to go all out and include everything. Although on this picture I had missed out the mash potatoes and gravy, don’t worry I did include them in our dinner! Usually, I like to experiment with my meat seasonings, however, I would say that I have my lamb seasoning down to a T. I love trying out new recipes for my potatoes such as rosemary and thyme, saffron mash potatoes. Orange and pepper vegetables, lemon chicken. I love trying new tastes and so do my kids.
My nana used to make the best-seasoned homemade Yorkshire puddings ever! I have tried to get them just like she used too many of times and although I am close, I don’t think I will ever get them to her standards. This Sunday I decided to cheat and buy in our Yorkshire puddings just because this pregnancy has got me feeling not very well.
These pictures are not of my best Sunday roast nor are they of my Sunday roast, I just wanted to take some pictures of my meat. The lamb was so tasty. It was full of flavour from inside to out, it wasn’t too spicy, you could taste the mint it was simply delicious.
I would love to hear what you guys like to cook for your Sunday dinners, do you go traditional or do you cook something completely different?
